Jon-Matthew Hopkins is a passionate technology professional, accomplished musician, and early-stage investor dedicated to creating more equitable spaces in the technology industry and delivering best-in-class consumer products.

As a Product Launch Manager at Apple, Jon-Matthew drives operational execution and implementation of strategy for Apple’s newest products across the globe – bringing Apple’s renowned innovations to the hands of the consumer.
Prior to Apple, Jon-Matthew most recently worked as a Product Strategy Summer Associate at Google, driving product roadmap decisions through data-driven market analysis for Google Nest. Before Google, Jon-Matthew served as Senior Consultant at Deloitte where he advised executive leaders on enterprise technology transitions, developing long-term product roadmaps, and delivering transformational technology solutions.

A committed investor and supporter of the entrepreneurial community, Jon-Matthew has also partnered with Mastry Inc. to evaluate new opportunities in both consumer and enterprise technology, retail, and media. Furthermore, he has been instrumental in developing investment theses and screening inbound deal flow for investment consideration. Mastry has invested in such notable companies as Zoom, Allbirds, Casper, GOAT, Lime, Qualtrics, Uber, & more with several impressive exits to date.
Jon-Matthew is also very proud to have personally invested into a handful of consumer-focused startups, primarily led by historically underrepresented founders, aimed at providing services to communities of color.

His tech and venture investing passions notwithstanding, music, however, remains Jon-Matthew’s first love. An accomplished drummer/percussionist, Jon-Matthew has performed with Grammy-nominated R&B sensation Raheem DeVaughn and an assortment of other acts worldwide. Still a sought-after drummer, Jon-Matthew’s musical expertise extends across a wide variety of genres and musical styles. In 2015 and 2017, Jon-Matthew traveled the globe touring with the distinguished ‘New York Harlem Singers’ performing in premier concert venues in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, & more.

In July of 2016, Jon-Matthew was selected as an associate member of the Grammy Recording Academy and is a continued supporter of a number of music and arts collectives such as ‘Neo Elite’, a millennial-driven digital content company creating media at the intersection of music and digital storytelling.

Jon-Matthew is based in New York City, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
